As an expansion team set to compete in the 2026 season, the Rhode Island Breakers, based in Newport, RI, are bringing professional offshore sport fishing to a growing national audience. The team joins a league featuring 14 angling clubs competing across a 12-event tournament season, culminating in the prestigious championship playoffs.
Through this partnership, the Breakers will utilize Plus.Fan to deliver a modern, connected fan experience – bringing together content, access to events, and engagement in a single platform. With a strong foundation in storytelling and digital engagement, Plus.Fan will support the team as they build their fanbase and showcase the excitement of competitive sport fishing to both seasoned anglers and new audiences.
