The modern fan wants new ways to connect with their favorite sports club across the globe. Call them super fans, diehards or something else, but fans expect to be able to connect with their favorite clubs in new ways.

Technology has made it easier to connect, but teams struggle to deliver consistent experiences for fans, engage with new audiences and monetize supporters beyond selling tickets and merchandise.

The explosive growth of behind-the-scenes content series including Sunderland ‘Til I Die, Drive to Survive and Welcome to Wrexham and others have proven that not only will existing fans search out connections to their clubs, but new fans will follow the storylines and connect in a new way to clubs, teams and players.

The Story

Through our relationship with the team at Fan Owned Club, we saw the opportunity to engage with sports fans in new ways – to create experiences that would build stronger connections.

Fan Owned Club built a community of thousands of fans globally and has had to innovate the tools and services they used to manage that fan engagement.

Through the experience of being involved with the Fan Owned Club team, we recognized that there could be a better technology solution to help teams create and manage better fan experiences.

We’ve built Plus.Fan for the local fan who attends a few matches a year, the superfan who wants an insider experience or the fan across the globe who just wants to be connected.

We’re a team of sports fans. We play, follow, coach, watch and live-and-die with our favorite teams.
